Something New Is Coming This Fall 🀍

Hi Friend,

If you've been around SLO Town for a while, you probably know that every fall I open a limited number of Fall Mini Sessions. For more than thirteen years, they've become something many families look forward to. I've watched calendars fill, little ones grow, and familiar faces return year after year. But somewhere along the way, I realized they had become something much bigger.

The more I thought about it, the more I realized...

These sessions have never really been about fall.

Yes, the weather is beautiful. The golden grass, the soft light, those October sunsets... I love all of it.

But that's not why families come back.

They come back because another year has passed.

Because their kids are taller.

Because someone lost their first tooth.

Because someone is celebrating their senior year.

Because there's a new baby.

Because the family dog is a little grayer.

Because another chapter has quietly unfolded.

Because they don't want to forget it.

Somewhere along the way, these sessions became so much more than seasonal photos. They became a tradition.

So this year, I'm making a change that feels long overdue.

Introducing...

The Tradition Collection

An annual portrait experience designed to celebrate another year of your family's story. Because that's what these sessions have already become for so many families, including mine.

Whether this is your very first session with me or your fifteenth, my hope is always the same, that years from now you'll look back at these photographs and remember exactly how this season of life felt.

Not because everything was perfect.

But because it was yours.

So... what's changing?

In many ways, not much at all.

You'll still have the choice between a Tradition Mini and a Tradition Session, so whether you're looking for a quick annual update or a more personalized experience, there will be an option for your family.

The beautiful October light, the familiar Central Coast locations, and the relaxed experience you've come to expect aren't going anywhere.

What's changing is the intention behind it all.

Instead of thinking of these as "fall mini sessions," I want them to feel like what they've already become for so many of usβ€”an annual tradition.

One that celebrates this season of your family's story, whatever it looks like.

To make that happen, every family will receive a planning consultation before their session so we can talk through location, wardrobe, milestones, and the little details that make this year unique. My goal is to create photographs that feel personal to your family, not just beautiful.

Here's what you need to know:

πŸ‚ Newsletter subscribers receive first access on August 18.

πŸ‚ The collection opens to everyone on August 20.

πŸ‚ Reservations close on August 23, or sooner if all sessions are spoken for.

If documenting this season of your family's life has been on your heart, I'd be honored to help tell that story. I truly believe these photographs become more valuable with every passing year. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your family's story.

I can't wait to share this collection with you.

Hi Friend, I just wanted to pop into your inbox with a quick reminder because we're officially one week away. The Tradition Collection opens for newsletter subscribers on Tuesday, August 18, and I couldn't be more excited. This year is a little different. Instead of offering family sessions throughout the season, I'll only be back on the Central Coast for one week: SAVE THE DATE | October 8–12 Five days. One trip. One opportunity to photograph families this fall. Whether this is your first...

Hi friend, I've spent the last couple of weeks back on the Central Coast photographing Summer Sessions and weddings, and I can't tell you how full my heart feels. It struck me this week that although every day looked different, they all had one thing in common. One day I was documenting two people promising forever. The next, I was chasing toddlers across the beach with parents whose wedding I photographed years ago. Different milestones. Same story. It reminded me that this job has never...

Hi friends, July is busyyyy! Weddings, travel, fair, summer fun and making memories nonstop. In the middle of it all, it’s easy to let photos live only on your phone or computer.
